Ivanka Trunp licensed her name for a jewelry line. The retailer, a New York jewelry company, hired a large manufacturer based in Hong Kong to make the jewelry. The retailer owes the manufacturer three million dollars, so they hired me to collect the judgment. By the way, the retailer also owes Ivanka $200,000. The retailer put their main company, call it DD, into his wife’s name, so I filed an income execution with the NYC Marshal so that DD will pay part of the wife’s salary to pay down the judgment. It is very likely that they will not pay it, they own all of DD after all. So I will have my lawyer file a special proceeding so that now DD will be on the hook for the judgment. In that way, the Hong Kong manufacturer can seize the assets of DD to pay its judgment against the defunct retailer.
We had Neiman Marcus send all the unsold jewelry to the NYC Marshal to auction off. We collected $100,000 for the manufacturer that way.
Collecting judgments is our specialty. Your judgment is a powerful document that allows us to work through the legal and banking systems to identify your debtors’ assets, freeze them or claim them, and collect the payment that is legally owed to you. We get paid on commission only, so if we don’t collect any money, there is no cost to you. We take all the risk.
